Day 01 – Negombo Beach
After arrival to Sri Lanka you will be greeted by Visit Sri Lanka Travels representative at Airport.
After the Warm Welcome proceed to Negombo beach Hotel and relax at the hotel.
Day 02 – Pinnawala / Sigiriya
After the breakfast leave for Pinnawala. Once in Pinnawala you can enjoy the Elephant Sanctuary in Pinnawala, Morning Feeding & Bathing Program, which was built in 1975 for rescued, injured or abused elephants and attracts visitors from all over the world to view these sumptuous animals.
Today has the largest herd in captivity in the world and offers us an opportunity to see elephants running in this natural environment. You will have an unique and intimate experience to caress and you feed the elephants with a small bottle of milk and appreciate the bond of union with their human foster parents called “eth gowwa”, and enjoy the highest visual event of the day, the bath. An experience that an elephant lover would never forget.
On completion proceed to Sigiriya and relax in the evening at the hotel.
Day 03 – Sigiriya
After the breakfast have an amazing Elephant Back Safari in Sigiriya.
Elephant Back Safari in Sri Lanka brings in multifaceted joys. Climb the ancient fortress of Sigiriya – world heritage site, with magnificent views over the surrounding.
Sigiriya, The ruins of the capital built by the parricidal King Kassapa I (477–95) lie on the steep slopes and at the summit of a granite peak standing some 370 m high (the ‘Lion’s Rock’, which dominates the jungle from all sides). A series of galleries and staircases emerging from the mouth of a gigantic lion constructed of bricks and plaster provide access to the site. The poems inscribed on the rock, and known as the ‘Sigiri graffiti,’ are among the most ancient texts in the Sinhalese language, and thus show the considerable influence exerted by the abandoned city of Kassapa I on both literature.
Day 04 – Kandy
After the breakfast leave for Spice Garden in Matale. In the program you can have an experience with below activities.
Sri Lanka is world renowned for its valued spices and healing herbs. Our lush spice and herbal gardens feature many important herbs such as Sandalwood, Margosa, Cocoa, Citronella, Almond, Jasmine and Coconut. When visiting us, make the most of the chance to experience first-hand how cloves, pepper, ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon and saffron are grown in their natural surroundings.

After the experience of unforgettable Spice Garden proceed to Kandy historical city.
This sacred Buddhist site, popularly known as the city of Senkadagalapura, was the last capital of the Sinhala kings whose patronage enabled the Sinhala culture to flourish for more than 2,500 years until the occupation of Sri Lanka by the British in 1815. As the capital, Kandy had become home to the relic of the tooth of the Buddha which symbolizes a 4th-century tradition that used to be linked to the Sinhalese monarchy, since the protector of the relic was the ruler of the land. Thus the Royal Palace and the Temple of the Tooth were placed in close proximity to each other
On completion visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic which contains the most important Buddhist relic, a tooth of Buddha and is a famous pilgrimage site.
The Sacred Tooth Relic (Dālada) of the Buddha is the most venerated object of worship for Buddhists. Its present house, the Temple of the Tooth Relic (Dālada Māligāwa) in Kandy, Sri Lanka is considered the foremost sacred place of worship in the Buddhist world.
In the evening we will witness a “Cultural Show “where each of the energetic dances performed tells its own story to the sound of drums and flutes.
Day 05 – Nuwara-Eliya
After breakfast visit the Udawatta Kele Sanctuary and Romantic Walk at Lovers Lane.
Udawatta Kele Sanctuary, often spelled as Udawatta Kele, is a historic forest reserve on a hill-ridge in the city of Kandy. During the days of the Kandyan kingdom, Udawatta Kele was known as “Uda Wasala Watta” in Sinhalese meaning, “the garden situated above the royal palace. The sanctuary is famous for its extensive avifauna. The reserve also contains a great variety of plant species, especially lianas, shrubs and small trees. There are several giant lianas. Many of small and medium size mammals that inhabit Sri Lanka can be seen here. Several kinds of snakes and other reptiles might also be seen. Udawatta Kele was designated as a forest reserve in 1856 and it became a sanctuary in 1938.
On completion leave for Nuwara Eliya enroute visiting Ramboda water fall, Tea plantation and Tea factory for a tasting session.
Ramboda Falls is 109m high and 11th highest waterfall in Sri Lanka and 729th highest waterfall in the world. Altitude of the falls is 945m above sea level.
Tea, Sri Lanka’s tea cultivators and manufacturers are the custodians of the traditional, orthodox method of black tea production. This is still agreed by most experts to produce the best black tea. Even with the technological improvements introduced over the last thirty or forty years, the orthodox method is relatively slow and labor-intensive; but as the tea planters and traders of Sri Lanka have always maintained, good tea cannot be hurried. Nor, oddly enough, can it be delayed. The time devoted to each of the processes of tea manufacture has to be finely judged if a quality product is to be obtained.
Day 06 – Nuwara-Eliya / Bentota Beach
After breakfast visit Nuwara Eliya and have a city tour in Nuwara Eliya colonial town. During the city tour you can enjoy with so many constructions built by British Ex: Lake Gregory…. Also you will visit Vegetable farms, Fruit Market and so many other attractions.
Nuwara-Eliya the ‘heart’ of the tea country located at an elevation of 1980 meters in the central highlands of a tropical island, it offers the best both worlds advantages, of tropical abundance and pleasant cool mountain climate. While the time climate is sub-tropical, night temperature plunge low enough to produce frost.
Proceed to Bentota Beach via Kithulgala. En route visit St’ Clair’s & Devon waterfall.
Kitulgala is a small town in the west of Sri Lanka. The Kelani river (the broadest river in Sri Lanka) flowing through Kitulgala was the main location where the Oscar winning movie ‘The Bridge over the River Kwai’ was filmed. On the hill above this town, a prehistoric cave was recently discovered containing skeletal remains from some unknown civilization. Kitulgala is also a base for white-water rafting, which starts a few kilometers upstream.
Day 07 – Bentota Beach / Kosgoda
After breakfast relax on the beach.
Late afternoon proceed to visit turtle hatchery farm at Kosgoda.
Kosgoda is famous for its turtle hatchery- operated by the Wild Life Protection Society of Sri Lanka. It was established in 1981 to protect Sri Lanka’s turtles from extinction. The hatchery pays fishermen for eggs that they collect at night along the sandy beach. Visitors can see huge tanks filled with new born turtle hatchlings. After being fed, the
baby turtles are taken to the sea and released when they are 2-4 days old, usually during the safer hours of darkness. Although October to April is the main laying season, some eggs can be found at Kosgoda throughout the year.
Day 08 – Departure
