Day 01 – Airport / Negombo

Met on arrival from your flight or picked up from Colombo hotel. Leave for Negombo in the afternoon. Negombo is a characteristic fishing town north of Colombo. Set amid lush groves of coconut palms, it breathes the spirit of the sea. Negombo is a gourmet’s paradise with sea food in plenty. Dinner and overnight in Negombo/ Waikkal

Day 02 – Negombo / Polonnaruwa

Leave Negombo for Polonnaruwa. Leave on an excursion for the medieval capital of Polonnaruwa in the afternoon. Polonnaruwa was the capital of Sri Lanka from the 11th to the 13th century AD. This ancient city is today one of the most beautiful centres of this island’s cultural heritage. Arrive at Sigiriya for dinner and overnight

Day 03 – Sigiriya

Sigiriya – “Eighth Wonder of World” Enter a time when men tamed the rocks, filled oceans & built cities in the sky. Sigiriya or Lion Rockies an ancient citadel located near the town Dambulla in the Center Province of Sri Lanka. This is a masterpiece of construction, irrigation and a water garden displays some of the most futuristic elements of landscaping and some of the oldest murals recorded in the country.

Standing at nearly 660 ft. Sigiriya has been made famous for the frescoes on its rock wall.  High and built fortress, between 477-495 B.C.E, Sigiriya is a UNESCO World Heritage site and a true wonder of Sri Lanka .Be prepared for steep staircases and a spectacular view from the top.

Day 04 – Sigiriya / Kandy

Leave for Kandy the capital of the Sri Lankan kings, which fell to the British in 1815. This hill capital is situated in a valley 1600 feet above sea level, surrounded by mountains & virtually encircled by the scenic Mahaweli river; the longest in Sri Lanka. Kandy, one of the most beautiful cities in Sri Lanka & is famous for it’s temple of the tooth, one of the most venerated Buddhist temples in the world. Dinner and overnight and overnight will be at Kandy.

Day 05 – Kandy / Nuwara Eliya

Today, you will leave for the mountains. Nuwara Eliya is located in the center of the hill country also called the “Hill station”. This ruggedly picturesque location almost 6200 feet in elevation with its soft cool climate was favoured by the British, who made it their hill resort, during their rule in Sri Lanka, (then called Ceylon).

Overnight at Nuwara Eliya

Day 06 – Nuwara Eliya / Colombo

Leave for Colombo after breakfast. Afternoon, free for shopping .Dinner & overnight will be in Colombo
